Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My Carbon Footprint and How I Can Change It
When I calculated my carbon footprint I was not surprised to see that my home carbon emissions are higher than the average. This is likely partially because my family uses a lot of incandescent bulbs which use up more electricity than other types of bulbs such as LEDs. I can decrease my and my family's carbon footprints by convincing my parents to replace the current light bulbs we have with LED bulbs. My family also uses a lot of electricity so what I can do to reduce that is to unplug devices that are fully charged and turn off all unnecessary lights.
