Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Hi. I'm a student from Denia Spain

laurarh_spian

Hello, I'm Laura. I'm 16 yars old. I live in Denia, Spain. My footprint is 8.654 kg of CO2 per year, compared to an average of 6.968 kg for Spain. It's a bad mark but that's because I fly every year to Holland to visit my family and that is what increases my footprint.
I have to decrease my footprint going by foot when I can, recycling, eating less meat, using LED lights, etc.
We have to protect our planet!
