Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Hi, I'm a student from Denia Spain
Hi, I'm Nuria, I live in Denia, Spain. My footprint is 5353 kg of CO2 for year. Is better than the average from my country (Spain) which is 6968 kg. And a bit more than the average of the world which is 3791kg. I know that I can produce less in house. At home, we produce a lot of CO2 because it is large and is difficult to reach the temperature you want. I know I would be able to produce less.
The size of your home would definitely make a difference especially if it is in a hot or cold climate. In my home we use oil to heat in winter and electricity to cool in the summer- this too produces a lot of CO2 . We are trying to cut back by heating to a lower temperature than we have before this winter and wearing more sweaters etc.
