How often do you get a new cel phone or mp3 player? Did you really need a new model? Do you consider the environmental impact of these purchases? If you are addicted, how can you break your addiction?

The new technology is definatly a want because you don't always have to have the newest stuff. You just need the technology required, which doesn't mean buying a new phone every time one comes out.

I agree in some aspects that technology can be more of a want than a need but I also believe there are times where we do need technology. When it comes to people’s daily jobs a lot of the time they need technology to get the most accurate results. For example doctors using X-rays to find out what’s going on. If doctors have high quality technology it is more likely for the results to be correct
