Technology is a want. People have lived years and years without it so why do we need it? Though, we do not need technology it makes our life a lot easier and can be nice to have. We do not need the newest versions but people upgrade to have the new features on the newest versions. We are constantly encouraged to get the newest because it is supposed to be the best. We don’t need to have higher quality cameras but we want it so our picture we take are better.

Although I see your point i don't think changes changes in technology is just a want. There are many technological advances in the medical field, transportation, and many other places that have now become a nececsity. I believe we must continue to create new and helpful technology not just for common everyday activities but for actions that could help life in the long run.

One main example i can find of this is MRI's. As said in an article by Science and Techology Facilities Coucil "There are more than 20,000 MRI scanners installed around the world performing around 50 million examinations every year" Out of these scans millions of diagnosis and treatments have resulted saving lives. And as technolgy grows more changes will be able to be made to save more people.
