Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

What are some ways we could reduce our Carbon Footprint Data?
For light bulbs, you can buy light bulbs that don't use as much electricity. We turn the lights on only when we are staying in a room and going to stay in that room for a while. There is no need to turn the lights on when you are going for a quick visit in the room. When using an air conditioner or a heating system, we can only keep it on until we feel like the temperature is ok, then turn it off. Don't keep it on at night because that drains A LOT of electricity. Have a recycling bin and put all the plastics or the recyclable items in there. Don't overcharge your devices. Leave them until they are 100% then take the charger off as soon as you see the 100%. Turn off the water when you don't need it. For example, when brushing your teeth, don't keep the water on. Only turn it off when you need to spit or something.
