Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

How can we reduce our carbon footprints ?

Leona8341

It may seem like a difficult thing to do, but honestly there are some simple things that we could do to reduce our carbon footprints, and help out the earth. An example being reusing materials such as paper, glass, and etc. as way of reducing the amount of carbon that we release into our environment. A way that I have been able to reduce my footprint is using a bike as a source transportation to where I want to go. Not only is it fun, but it is a better way to get around compared to a car or bus because it doesn’t release as many carbon emissions. If each and every one of us are able to at least change a couple bad habits of ours and convert them into a way to reduce our carbon footprints, it could be a huge benefit for our earth's future.
