Is having the latest technology a want or a need?
How often do you get a new cel phone or mp3 player? Did you really need a new model? Do you consider the environmental impact of these purchases? If you are addicted, how can you break your addiction?

Many speculate on the question of whether or not having communication/ entertainment devices are needed. I do think people need a way to communicate with people a long way away, but having something to entertain or for the pure sake of it is definitely a want, not a need.
