Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

What can we do to lower our carbon footprints as students.
Since there isn’t a lot that we can do to lower our carbon footprint as students we must do what we can, this may include using air conditioning systems less, not leaving things like the water or lights on when not in use, and recycling as much as possible
We can also help out by carpooling more and try to maintain a normal amount of driving instead of us all driving around to get somewhere
I believe that we should only be allowed air conditioning for 3 months max out of the year.
We can reduce our carbon footprints by reducing the amount of electricity and water we use. We could start using things like solar panels. We could carpool when going to the same place and hopefully in the near future start using eco friendly transportation.
What can we do to lower our carbon footprints as students?
There is a lot of things that are out of control as kids/teens; however, we can make a couple changes in how we decide to live. Examples of changes you can make are eating foods that produce carbon less often, carpool or take public transpo, and making sure to unplug, and turn off anything you are using once you are done. Carpool, or using public transpo is helpful that way there will be less cars on the road meaning less carbon that is being put into the air. Making sure that you turn off and unplug everything saves energy and money as well as reduces your individual carbon footprint. The more often you eat things like red meats the more your carbon footprint number will go up, so if you make an attempt to eat less things like red meat the your carbon footprint number will go down. As teens it's really important to think about this kind of stuff, because we have to think about our future.
As students, we can be more aware of the amount of power and water that we use and reduce it in any way that we can. Things like turning off the faucet while brushing your teeth as well as unplugging appliances when not in use are small things that we can do to reduce our carbon footprint.
One thing that we can do as students is to choose local and seasonal food that produce less carbon footprints in their production. Also, to walk or bike as possible.
