How often do you get a new cel phone or mp3 player? Did you really need a new model? Do you consider the environmental impact of these purchases? If you are addicted, how can you break your addiction?

Wants or Needs?
Do you really need it or do you just want it. There is a big difference between wants and needs.
I really want it and need it.
Some items are necessary for your survival. These can be classified as needs. Things that can provide added comfort to current circumstances. This is what I think could be a definition of Wants and Needs.

You need food and water. You don't need the newest iphone or a video game those are wants.
I honestly don't need the newest Iphone but i do need the newest samsung

I think most items are technically "needed" but they can make life a whole lot easier, like technically you dont need a house becuase you could just camp and technically you dont need a car you could just walk, but they make life a lot better.
