Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Help world to save itself

RAJ

We no need to save our mother earth, it has all its potent to recurring itself. But it indirect push, we have to cutoff some factors affecting the Earth by increasing emissions of Carbon. This calci opened up my mind to think big as a environmentalists.
Thank you

I agree on what you said with the earth having everything to save it self but we as humans are also destroying it everyday. We need to start looking for more ways for paper without cutting down trees and stop having so much repopulation. The more reproducing we do the worse the earth gets and the earth is compatible for all these people because with this we wreck habitats and if we don't stop this soon a 6th mass extinction will happen by the early 2100. Another thing we need to do is too have less powered gas cars and look into renewable energy for gas or have electric. I think that we can help get this earth back on track but the only way we can do that is through us humans willing to be the change.

I agree with Raj we need to save our Earth and the best way of doing so is through finding ways to decrease carbon emissions. Electric cars are doing just that by taking the emissions out of the act of driving, although they still may be spread during the making of the car.

I agree with you, Raj! We, as organisms inhabiting earth, need to follow the patterns of Earth's natural systems and learn to limit ourselves on what is or is not necessary to have or use. Though individuals definitely have some say in this, it is also super important for leaders and bigger organizations to work with the communities to make all systems environmentally friendly so that the earth can replenish itself.
