Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carpooling
A possible way to lower your carbon footprint would be to carpool with someone. This way only one vehicle is emitting Carbon Dioxide into the atmosphere. Having en eco friendly car also helps reduce your carbon footprint.
Every car annually emits its own weight in carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. If you were to Carpool it would reduces that amount significantly. If you carpool to and from work or school, you might even be able to cut your transportation emissions number in half, or even better.
I Absolutely agree with you, as the biggest percentage of my Carbon Footprint was the transportation part. Carpooling would help us to greatly decrease our Carbon Footprints. It is not only helpful for the environment, but also for our health.
I love this idea of carpooling with someone else! Carpooling would be a great way to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide that you are emitting into the atmosphere. Another idea would be to get an electric car or a hybrid if you can not walk or bike to your destination. I will start to think about ways that I can either carpool or bike around instead of driving.
I agree with you too, carpooling would help decrease everyone's carbon foot print. All of my friends and I drive separate cars when we go to meet somewhere, this is bad because we all could've fit into one. I think this is a great idea.
