Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Transportation
You may think that an electric car is always better for the environment. An hybrid car sometimes is better because electricity, depending on where you are, may be sourced from combustion-type powerplants. So if you're in a state which use more clean power sources, go for the electric car. What we can all do to help right now is to carpool, and use public transportation.
I have always been told that combustion is bad for the environment, so I am going to have to disagree with you that a hybrid car is better for the environment than an electric car. What do you think the world will go for, hybrid or electric car, and why? Do you know what car is more accessible to the general public because I don't?
