Is having the latest technology a want or a need?
How often do you get a new cel phone or mp3 player? Did you really need a new model? Do you consider the environmental impact of these purchases? If you are addicted, how can you break your addiction?

Wants and needs?
I think electric cars are a great way to balance out desires and needs. You need transportation in most places and electric cars can give you what you want a nice car, and what you need to reduce your carbon footprint. I believe electric cars are a perfect middle-ground for wants and needs.
After seeing other parts of the world, I realize that our carbon footprint is unnecessarily high because of the fine line between wants and needs. I agree that electric cars should be promoted to the public more often.
I agree with what both of you guys are saying, especially Bella. After looking at some of the other countries they weren't even close to as high as our carbon footprint.
