Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Some methods could be applied even now:
-reduce water usage in the restrooms
-efficient lighting usage
-reduce their car idling when dropping off and picking up the students.
I agree. We could also look at what other schools/countries are already doing around the world and take ideas from each other. If a school in Europe has a very low carbon footprint, we should try and learn from that. This is a global effort and I believe we should treat it like one.
I agree with what you suggested for some methods to decrease carbon footprints. I think having efficient light usage is especially important because I think people tend to forget they have there lights on; I know I am guilty of doing that. I think reducing water usage is a good idea, but I don't know how practical it would be. How do you think this can be done? I was thinking maybe sink water can be limited to 20 seconds per person before it shuts off.
