Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Replacing of smartphones.
So many people change their phone when two years or less had pass, but if we care a little bit more about the planet we will try to use our phone for a minimum of one year more, it would be better for the ecosystem, you will show your self that you dominate you and your wished, etc.
I agree, most people change their phones as soon as a new one comes out. That is part of our culture as consumers. As soon as something new comes we want it, regadless of the consequences and the impact out wastes my have on the environment.
I agree with you , many people change their phone , laptop every years . It is not good for the environment and the governement should impose taxes .
People should recycle phone and laptop !!
I agree! Not just phones but many products are also made in a way that forces consumers to replace and repurchase every year, which leads to such an unnecessary buildup in global trash and pollution. It scares me because this is a system that is so ingrained into the workings of our society and to overhaul it calls for drastic changes in so many industries. Implementing update limits for a product's model would slow down a country's technological advancement and or economic growth, it would have to be a global consensus for it to work. Alleviation efforts to this phenomenon also have their consequences and it is nothing short of a worrying sight...
