Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Cleaning Dishes

julianaljarrah

Why do we not use alcohol/ethanol to clean our dishes? I kills, cleans, and is more efficient than soap, (you need to dump it out less)

We could all attempt to put out waste in the correct bins at school.

It's also potentially dangerous, and don't forget that not all bacteria is bad.

soap is probably cheaper than ethanol, and it could be dangerous to kids like you if they eat any on accident

julianaljarrah

Well you could re-use ethanol more often than soap to a point where you need to add little to continue washing dishes.
