i think we need the technology. not to survive but it is very helpful. you don't need the newest model. just something that can help you
This is very true. As a person who likes going on their phone a lot, I can say that my phone, or phones in general, are mostly a form of entertainment rather than a necessity. I always see people that I know getting the newest phones as soon as they come out, even when their old phones didn't have any problems. This could possibly be thanks to trends and influencers who form some sort of image, that if you have the newest phone you would be "cool" or "rich looking" when in reality you're just spending more money on something that you don't need. In 2016, there was also a rumour that Apple used child labour to make the batteries and parts on their phones.
