Is having the latest technology a want or a need?
How often do you get a new cel phone or mp3 player? Did you really need a new model? Do you consider the environmental impact of these purchases? If you are addicted, how can you break your addiction?

I think that most of the technology thing are mostly want because we do need the absolute best thing. The only thing is that if you your phone like does not work. I get a new cell phone like every 4 years mabey. The new phone I just got I did need because my old one was not working and I could not have any apps. No there was no thoughts about preaching the new phone. Maybe try to work hard to not look at my phone as much.
