Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

You're still using a car and polluting the environment, so I would say no.

But I'm taking an uber, so isn't that saving by not driving and actually carpooling?

alexa_carera

Ubering is equivalent to driving I believe... It's the same if your parent were driving you, except that the Uber has to drive to you first, so maybe it's worse...

i really like that answer, even though uber costs money, it deffinetly reduces the amount of cars in the earth

I agree that it would be the same as your parent driving you. However, it is better for the environment because you would be sharing the car with another person, therefore carpooling.
