Is Climate Change Real & Human-Caused?

The ISCFC is all about reducing our individual and collective contributions to climate change.

But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?

In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?

Are you or are you not convinced by the majority of climate scientists who say that climate change is real and largely human caused? Why are you convinced/not convinced? What evidence might change your mind one way or the other?

Is Climate Change Real and Human Caused?

Climate change is not something that just occurs naturally however, the things contributing to climate change are natural elements. These things like carbon for example were being emitted a normal healthy amount before the industrial revolution but now with the deforestation, and burning of fossil fuels they are being let out in exceedingly dangerous amounts. Cows are also a leading cause of methane production in the atmosphere and were also once a safe and non threatening animal to our environment, but since humans have bred more and more cows and have had to do even more deforestation to create space for them they have become a threatening thing to our planet. This is why climate change was not a problem millions of years ago because humans didn’t have access to the things we do nowadays that makes climate change a legitimate thing.

After watching the movie Cowspiracy, I also agree with Mimi47 thoughts about climate change and how cows are involved. Climate change has occurred because of the greenhouse gases emission that gets trapped in the atmosphere produced by human activity and other factors. The chemical plants and other places that burn fossil fuels also contribute a lot of carbon in the atmosphere which we need to limit. Also to mention, cows also contribute a lot to the climate change issue. Cows produce methane which is more harmful than carbon dioxide and will affect the atmosphere even more. Many humans in the world are very greedy for more money in the world with agriculture which is leading to clearing of land to raise more cattle. People do not relies or they do not care that cows are one of the leading reasons why we have climate change.
