Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?
Student Footprints >
My family carbon footprint and how I can reduce it.
My family total carbon footprint is lower than a average family carbon footprint. But I want to make that number lower by reducing the amount of time I charge my phone, less camp fires, start using recycling methods, and less time on shower.
You could lower it by recycling and not letting the water run while you brush your teeth and turn off the lights your not using
Also you can help our planet sorting litter, buying less plastic things, going shopping with our own packs, saving water and doing other daily things.
You can also lower it by composting.
Other ways you could lower your carbon footprint is to recycle, turn off the lights when leaving a room. Reusing water bottles or bags, buying locally.
You could use other sources of electricity like solar power.
