Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My carbon footprint
After doing the test I realize that my carbon footprint is low compared to the average.
I have low results for transportation because to go to school I use public transport and this pollutes less.
In addition, I have low results for home energy because to heat my house, I have a chimney.
When I left a room I turn off the light. In my house I have only LED bulbs and it consumes less energy.
However, I have high result for food because there is a lot of plastic packaging. And this create a lot of waste.
I can add that I give clothes too small for me to my cousin. And if she doesn't want them, I give the clothes to associations that redistribute them to people in difficulty.
To reduce my carbon footprint :
I can buy organic and local food.
I can buy less take-away meals.
I can stop my use of plastic bottle.
I can create a kitchen garden.
I can create a compost.
