I feel that getting the latest technology is a want, not a need. I say this because typically needs are things you need to live/survive. Such as food, water, money, a place to sleep/live in. These are all basic needs that some don't even have access to. Wants are things that you think could benefit your life or make you cooler or look cooler but you don't NEED those things. How different is life gonna be if you go from one Iphone to the next? Now if the Iphone is broken and your only form of communication, then it becomes a NEED. For example, my Iphone 11 works perfectly fine right now. My mom asked me if I wanted to upgrade now or wait a couple months. I told her I could wait a couple months because with the extra money it is to get the new phone now, I can buy something I need. If we all focus on our needs and take care of them, we can reward ourselves with wants later on
