Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Reducing Food Carbon Footprint
After calculating my personal carbon footprint, it showed me the impact of eating different foods could make upon one's carbon footprint. However, the big question still remains: how can you reduce your carbon footprint in terms of the food you eat and what foods should you eat to do so? The obvious answer to this question would be to become a vegetarian or vegan and while this is true, I'd like to bring to light the difference in minor changes to your eating habbits makes. According to the advanced carbon footprint calculator, eating 90% of your meals vegetarian will reduce your carbon footprint by over 1100kg! This means that by simply eating a single vegetarian meal each week for a year could reduce your total carbon footprint by 78kg. This being said, I would encourage everybody to regularly incorporate 1-3 vegetarian meals each week as the difference it makes is immense, especially in regard to your carbon footprint.
