Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My Carbon Footprint(North Carolina)

rileyb

My name is Riley. I am from Mooresville, North Carolina, USA. I am 17 years old. My total carbon footprint was 46,578. My total footprint was way above the average total. Most of my carbon footprint came from my transportation because I typically take a car every where I go. I expected my results to be at least a little closer everyones average. I learned that I need to drive less. To decrease my carbon footprint I can start walking or riding a bike more for transportation.
