In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?

Climate change and what we can do to stop it.
Climate change is an increasing issue occurring in our atmosphere right now. The Earth's climate is heating up because of trapped greenhouse gasses, and it is causing things like acidic oceans, sea level rise because of thermal expansion, and increased chances of extreme weather events. Climate is almost all human caused because of the burning of fossil fuels and the conversion of forests to agriculture, so we need to become aware of what we can do to stop climate change, before it is too late. A couple of small things that you can actively do daily are reducing water waste by being conscious of how much water you are using, you can invest in energy-efficient appliances like refrigerators and dishwashers, to eat all of the food you buy and to consume less meat, and to unplug and turn off all electrically powered objects when they are not in use. A couple bigger things you can do are to switch to powering your house with reusable energy, drive fuel efficient cars, and to speak up and raise awareness of climate change as often as possible.
