Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Reducing my Footprint

espiBOD

I can reduce my footprint by using less air condition in my house. I can do this by making sure I am wearing clothes that keep me cool, opening windows, and taking a cold shower. Another way I can reduce my carbon footprint is by walking and biking more places. This helps because it releases less co2 into the air. Another way to reduce my footprint is by being more mindful when I buy something. I can thrift for more items also, which reduces waste. Finally I can reduce my footprint by being extremely careful in which trash bin I throw my trash in. This helps because the more I recycle the better it is for the Earth.
