Position Title: Research Assistant
Supervising Faculty: India Ornelas
Employment Period: December 15, 2017 – June 15, 2018
Hours/FTE: 20 hours/week (50% FTE)
Position Description:
The graduate Research Assistant (RA) will support the Amigas Latinas Motivando el Alma (ALMA) study in the Latino Center for Health. This position will assist with formative research activities for the ALMA study which aims to prevent and reduce depression and anxiety among Latina immigrant women.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The RA will help conduct and analyze focus groups and cognitive interviews with Latina immigrant women to inform the intervention and study procedures. All data collection and analysis will be conducted in Spanish. The RA will work closely with the PI, co-investigators and Research Coordinator to coordinate research activities.

Salary: This is an Academic Student Employee (ASE) position governed by the UAW Contract and paid in accordance with the TA/RA Salary Schedule associated with the student’s academic department. Department of Health Services students are paid according to the Regular Salary Schedules. An automatic increase in salary occurs in July.
Tuition: This position includes a tuition waiver.
