Virtual Career Coaching: Connect with career coaches via Zoom or phone through a virtual appointment or virtual drop-in.

If you are taking (or considering) classes this summer and need financial aid, the application is now open!
The types and amounts of aid available are limited. For priority consideration, submit this application by May 15th. Since processing times can be lengthy (as much as 8 weeks) please apply as early as possible.
If you decide later to not take summer courses you can decline the offer from the Financial Aid office.
You need to be enrolled in 5-units to receive aid.
Steps to apply:
1. Log into your MyUW and from the left hand column select “Accounts”
2. Select “Financial Aid Status”
3.**You might need to accept your 2020-2021 financial aid offer if you have not already
4. On the left hand column, select “Summer Aid Application”
5. Fill in form, takes only 5-minutes.
6. Additional step for students taking 9 or less credits in the summer. Contact the Financial Aid office after you’ve received notification of your initial award.
If you decide not to attend summer, please let them know right away, so that the funds can go to another student.

CAIIS has student emergency grants available now for undergraduate and graduate students for up to $1,000. Students enrolled in at the UW for Winter and/or Spring are eligible to apply.
Grant applications will be reviewed on April 13, 2020, but the application period will remain open until the funds are exhausted.

The 2020 Social Work Student Emergency Fund for BASW, MSW, and PhD students who have been affected by COVID-19. The fund provides one-time funding to cover a range of needs, from assistance with living expenses to help with educational costs.
To apply for funding, students in good academic standing can simply reply to this Catalyst survey. PLEASE NOTE THAT APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY MIDNIGHT, APRIL 9TH and awards will be announced by April 15th.

While most stores have been temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 quarantine, some of the ones that remain open (considered vital) are in need of many new workers. On April 14th from 5:30pm-6:30pm PT, we will do a more specific “how to find fellowships” webinar for international, DACA, and non-DACA graduate students.
Though students without US citizenship can attend the April 7th session, they may find the April 14th session more informative. Here again, current and prospective graduate students from all disciplines will learn to locate fellowships relevant to different stages of graduate study and create plans for applications. Students will walk away with lists of key resources and search strategies.
