Multilingual Writer Support

The OWRC offers several support programs for multilingual writers at both the undergraduate and graduate level. 

One-on-one writing tutoring appointments 

Many of our tutors have training in supporting multilingual writers or are multilingual speakers themselves. If you want a one-on-one appointment with one of these specialized tutors you can search our People Page using the Multilingual Speaker or Multilingual Support Tutor tags. Then log onto our online scheduling system and book an appointment with your chosen tutor. 

Targeted Learning Communities (TLC)

The TLC program aims to support international and multilingual students as they navigate American classrooms and cultures. The program enables small groups of students to meet weekly for an hour with OWRC tutors. Together, they work to decode academic and cultural norms, practice language acquisition, and develop collaboration skills. The program is open to both undergraduate and graduate students. You can learn more about this program under our ‘programs’ dropdown menu.
