Southern Oregon Institute for Environmental Studies

Aligns and coordinates SOU’s sciences, social sciences and public policy programs with the character and needs of Southern Oregon and Northern California .

In development: Illinois Valley Field and Research Station:

A collaboration with the Siskiyou Field Institute and Rogue Community College. The station will serve as a base for education and research activities in the Illinois Valley (Kalmiopsis Wilderness, Biscuit Fire, etc.)  

The Lenn and Dixie Hannon Library at Southern Oregon University

Houses the Southern Oregon Digital Archive (SODA) of federal documents relating to ecological and Native American Issues. http://soda.sou.edu/ . The Southern Oregon University Library has earned the Federal Depository Library of the Year Award for 2004 ( http://www.access.gpo.gov/su_docs/fdlp/fdlofyear/04.html ).
