Aaron Marburg

Dr. Marburg is a Principal Research Engineer at UW-APL and Director of OPAL. His research focuses on the development of robotic platforms for ocean exploration and science, with a focus on perception and situational awareness. He has over 20 years experience in electrical engineering and software design for robotics, scientific instrumentation and high-performance computer.

Dr. Marburg joined APL-UW as a SEED postdoctoral researcher in 2015 after completing his Ph.D. with Dr. Michael Hayes at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand.
