Collaborative Testing with OSU in the Hinsdale Directional Wave Basin
By Aaron Marburg
OPAL has a long-running collaboration with the Oregon State University Collaborative Robotics and Intelligent Systems institute (CoRIS) to develop advanced algorithms for intelligent underwater manipulation. This week, OSU was doing testing in the Hinsdale Directional Wave Basin, so we made the journey to Corvallis to support operations and testing.
For the experiment, OSU deployed their manipulation testbed in the basin with the Blueprint Bravo 7 arm and our Trisect underwater stereo system. The testbed was engineered in collabration between OPAL and OSU, and the Trisect was developed within OPAL.
