2025 Capstone teams in the test tank

A couple of weeks back I had the pleasure of hosting two of our ENGINE Capstone teams in the UW School of Oceanography test tank.

The Seattle Aquarium team got their first data with the ROV odometry system, including some sample data looking at the bottom of the tank, and they collected calibration data.

The object retrieval system ran the ROV via python code for the first time, and got their first look at our test object:

The students will be off for a much-needed spring break, then back to complete the projects in Spring quarter. Looking forward to the Capstone symposium in June.
