Description
This project builds health workforce in South Africa and spans the areas of mental health, community outreach, epidemiology in the context of HIV prevention, care, and treatment.
This grant includes several programs to strengthen workforce in South Africa. First, investigators have developed a training program for public health care sector workers in basic epidemiology. Second, a large project is under way to train community health workers across the country. Third, we are scaling an integrated mental health care program in primary care clinics in three districts in South Africa.
