What to Expect Before the Start of Your Time at SCH
Four to six weeks prior to your start date, the SCH Medical Student Office will send students an email requesting personal identification information. This information is required and is used to check students in to the Human Resources Department systems. Please respond to this request for information in a timely manner.
Two to three weeks prior to your start date, the SCH Medical Student Office will send you an email with the following information:
- Day and time of your sign-in appointment (usually, but not always, the first day of your rotation)
- If required, instructions on how to access and complete web-based training for the EMR.
Failure to report to the Medical Student Office before seeing your preceptor/attending/resident, etc. will result in disciplinary action.
