Growth Charts Problem Set

Step 1: Read the the article on growth in your Clerkship Manual. (Weintraub B. Growth. Pediatrics in Review 2011; 32, 404-06). There’s a link to the article on the clerkship website.

Step 2: Using the growth charts on this PDF file and this study guide, interpret the growth charts (scenarios A-D) and create a differential diagnosis (if needed) for the growth pattern and explain your rationale for each choice. Finally, for each scenario, outline a strategy for assessment and management of the patient. Remember, some scenarios may represent normal growth!
