General Information
Since 2008 (the first year that our Alumni database is available), our program has graduated 60 child and adolescent psychiatrists (average of 5 per class over 12 years). Of those 60 graduates, 46 (77%) entered into practice in Washington State after graduation and 5 (8%) entered into practice in other WWAMI states. Although some graduates have since moved out of Washington State for personal reasons, as of February 2021, 41 graduates are still practicing in Washington State for an overall retention rate of 68%. These graduates are currently working in various practice types including community mental health agencies, large healthcare systems (e.g., UW Medicine, Providence, Everett Clinic, Multicare) and private practice. Most of the graduates are serving patients in King County, Pierce County and Snohomish County with another handful practicing in Whatcom County and Spokane County.
