As a person of color it can be difficult to find the right fit when it comes to mental health services. This round table discussion will provide a space for students and therapist from UW Counseling Center and Hall Health to have a conversation around the barriers to services for students of color; specifically in relation to identity and how therapist are able to provide best practices through a  culturally competent lens in therapeutic services.

In addition, students will learn how to ask mental health providers questions to inquiring about their level of cultural competency and awareness of their identity, as well as recognize important indicators for therapist-client match.
