Welcome to the home website for the beautiful and charismatic green algae, Acrosiphonia coalita. Here you will find information on the taxonomy, habitat, morphology, life history, ecology, and a photo gallery of epizoic growth. This species was chosen because of its unique morphology and its odd tendency to be epizoic on limpets, which is very cool! Sadly, this algae species tends to be underappreciated and under studied.
