CulturalFest 2015 Applications due February 1

Applications are still open for students to host a booth at CulturalFest this February 26th.  Booths are hosted by UW students  and give students an opportunity to present their country and culture through photos, art, music, interactive activities and conversation.   Applications are due on February 1st and booth spaces are limited, so please encourage interested students to apply as soon as possible.  Below is a message that you can forward along to students who might be interested in presenting.  A list of countries currently represented at this year’s event can be found on the FIUTS website: http://www.fiuts.org/events/culturalfest/expo

Join FIUTS this February and represent YOUR country or culture at the 2015 CulturalFest International Expo!

FIUTS CulturalFest is the biggest multi-cultural student event on campus and a great opportunity for you to showcase your culture by hosting a booth and presenting photos, music, art and/or interactive activities to over 1000 UW students and local Seattle community members.

CulturalFest International Expo includes over 35 booths produced by the UW students and will take place in the HUB Ballroom on February 26th.  Applications are available on the FIUTS website and all applications are due on February 1st.  Booth space is limited so apply early!

The UW Career Center is Excited to announce our second annual Science Job & Internship Fair on January 28th, 2015!

Science Job & Internship Fair

January 28, 2015

2:00-5:00pm, MGH Commons

This unique min-fair is open to all majors and gives students the opportunity to directly connect with recruiters from local and national companies looking to hire UW students into science careers and internships . We will have 20 employers in attendance, including Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research, Lake Partners Strategy Consultants, the UW Undergraduate Research Program, and more.

Literacy Arts Alternative Spring Break

The Pipeline Project is currently recruiting our cohort of 2015 ASB Participants to Literacy Arts Alternative Spring Break. Sites will be throughout Washington state, ranging from the Olympic Peninsula to Eastern Washington. Applications are due January 23rd, 2015 on catalyst at the following link:

All lodging and transportation costs will be covered for UW students. Food costs are funded by group fundraising. Students will stay with host families or on-site dormitory housing!
