Our Locations

We have two locations! Depending on the study you are involved in, your visit may take place at either Seattle Children’s Research Institute near South Lake Union at Building Cure or at the Center on Human Development and Disability (CHDD) Clinic Building on the South Campus of the University of Washington, behind the UW Medical Center.

If you are early, late, or have questions, please call us at 206-419-6071 (text available) or 206-884-7814. This is the best way to reach us on the day of your visit. Thank you!

Parking

You park at  S-1 Parking Garage at UW South Campus. Stop at the gatehouse and pick up a parking pass, which costs $15. You may be asked to identify yourself as a research participant for CHDD. You will receive a daily parking permit. Leave the parking permit on the dashboard of your car. If you do not you will receive a parking violation.

After picking up the parking pass, take the RIGHT FORK (downhill) to the stop sign. At the stop sign take a LEFT and continue uphill into the parking garage. You may park in the spots at the end of the lot labeled CHDD/EEU. If these are full you may park in any unmarked spots in the parking lot.

Check in with the receptionist on the main floor (floor #2) of CHDD (the brick building on the far end of the parking lot with the long ramp in the front).  At the front desk let them know what study you are participating in.  If there are any problems ask them to call our study coordinator at 206.616.8057.

*In the rare event that the S-1 parking lot is full, merge back onto 15th avenue in the direction of the University. Once you reach the intersection with Pacific turn right. Go past the Health Sciences building and turn right at the Emergency entrance. Continue past emergency, down the hill, until you reach the Surgery Pavilion. There is underground parking just past the Surgery Pavilion for the Center on Human Development and Disabilities. Please let the clinician know you parked at the Surgery Pavilion and how much you paid. You will be reimbursed.
