Designer Statement
Erin Wilson is a designer with over 10 years of professional experience. After graduating the Ohio State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Design, Wilson began her career as a retail and mixed use environmental designer. After years of designing spaces which included interactive experiences that were designed separately from the physical experience, she decided to get a degree in interaction design. Designing tangible physical experiences in tandem with digital interactive experiences has been the main focus and goal of Wilson’s studies at the University of Washington.

“Erin’s thesis project was motivated by the change that is currently unfolding in our city, evident in the many building projects underway and how these affect existing neighborhoods. She started with observations in the Central District and Ballard, and completed with a proposal for an integrated and distributed design review platform that connects citizen, architects, and the City of Seattle’s Department of Planning and Development to facilitate a better public participation in building decisions.”
