Resource Center is going to have to be very careful with the funds available to keep the center up and running at its best.
The largest regular expense we have is the purchase of color ink used in the color printers. If everyone uses good judgement and some of these “printervention” tips, the Resource Center will be able to support your organization as well in June as we do in October.
1. Consider designing your brochures, poster and banners in black and white, using black sparingly for text and simple graphics. Avoid black backgrounds.
2. The use of color paper can give you the design “pop” your looking for without draining your printers of precious ink.
3. If you do need to use color, please try to limit the color to only the necessary design elements and don’t create solid color backgrounds.

Recognizing the continued pressures on students resources the Resource Center has sought to operate on a budget which while providing support services for Registered Student Organizations (RSO) would not unduly result in increases in the student activity fee. That along with the rising costs of supplies and increased usage by RSO’s has resulted in our suspension of the Credit Program.
However, RSOs are still welcome to make a limited amount of balloons and/or buttons. We will keep track of this in a similar fashion as the now suspended Credit Program, but you will be limited to $35 per academic year.
RSOs will no longer be able to order supplies for their own organization but utilize those which are made available to all registered student organizations. This decision was not an easy one to make but one we felt was necessary.
