Angola

Angola is located on the southern part of Africa bordering both Namibia and the Atlantic Coast. In 1912 diamonds were first discovered in Angola. Over the next 40 years miners would dig up diamonds based on alluvial diamond mining. During those years they also dug up and found other resources that the country produces such as gold, oil, phosphate, copper, bauxite, and uranium. The war started in 1975. Angola was in the middle of the whole war UNITA and MPLA. 1.5 million people were said to have lost their lives due to the conflict war of the diamonds.
