Ivory Coast The Ivory Coast is located in Western Africa and borders the Atlantic Ocean, Ghana, and Liberia. In the late 1990’s the military took over and overthrew the country. Since then civil war has possessed the country. With the discovery of the diamonds, mining became a new interest and exporting of the diamonds soon rose.In 2003 it is claimed that Ivory Coast is helping al Qadea fund terrorsim. An estimated of 23 million dollars worth of diamonds were traded between these two countries.
