We are pleased to announce that our Symposium will be held in the heart of downtown Tacoma, Washington. Perched on the shores of Commencement Bay and below the imposing peak of 14,411 foot Mount Rainier, Tacoma’s setting combines natural beauty and a revitalized downtown with shops, restaurants, and theaters. A very walkable city, it is also home to the Washington State History Museum, the Tacoma Art Museum, and the Museum of Glass. Tacoma’s free light rail shuttle service (the Link) runs from one end of town to the other and connects Tacoma’s downtown core with the regional transportation hub.  In addition, there’s a direct shuttle bus from Seattle/Tacoma International Airport which is about 20 miles away.

Steps away from dining and shopping, the Hotel Murano will serve as conference headquarters. Both meeting rooms and a block of guest rooms are reserved for our Symposium. The hotel's sleek minimalist style and world class collection of art glass earned the hotel a Conde-Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice Award as one of the country’s top 100 hotels. All of the hotel's public spaces and guest rooms feature pieces from its collection.
