The Yeast Resource Center (YRC) is a NIGMSBiomedical Technology Research Center based at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. The YRC’s mission is to (1) exploit the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae to develop novel technologies for investigating and characterizing protein function and protein structure, and then extend these technologies to higher eukaryotes (2) facilitate research and extension of new technologies through collaboration, and (3) actively disseminate data and technology to the research community.
The YRC is currently focused on developing technologies in these three areas:
Perturbing and sensing changes to complex pathways. Learn more.
Protein detection and quantitation by mass spectrometry. Learn more.
Click “Learn More” to learn more about the technology we are developing in that area. To learn how to collaborate with the YRC in any of these areas, please see our Collaboration Page.
