Administrative Core

Mission

The Administrative Core provides scientific and administrative oversight and leadership to all CRC Scientific Projects and Cores.  This encompasses: (1) planning and management of CRC activities; (2) communication among the CRC’s Core and Research Project Leaders, other STI CRC programs, NIAID staff, and the larger STI community; (3) evaluation of progress in the Scientific Projects; (4) management of fiscal, grant and compliance functions; and (5) support and management of the Development Research Project awards. The Administrative Core also coordinates the preparation and submission of annual progress reports and budgets for the coming year. The University of Washington has been a center for innovative and essential research in the area of STI/HIV for over 50 years and is pleased to continue this tradition with the STI CRC.
